Burgers for Grilling

 

12 Servings


  • 3 pounds lean ground beef (90/10)
  • ⅔ cup plain dry bread crumbs
  • ⅓ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 hamburger rolls

Heat grill. In medium bowl, combine all ingredients except sandwich buns; mix well. Shape mixture in 12 patties.

When ready to barbecue, place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill about 4 to 6 inches from medium-high coals. Cook 10 to 15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, turning once.

Serve on sandwich buns.

Makes 12 servings.

 

Broiler directions: Prepare recipe as directed. Heat broiler. Place patties on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, turning once.


Note: Optional toppings, such as mustard, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and/or cheese, are not included in the nutrition calculations.
